Title: Engineering Dendrimer-Based Platforms for Prostate Cancer Therapy
Abstract: Dendrimers, with their highly branched and tunable architecture, have emerged as versatile nanocarriers for targeted drug delivery in cancer therapy. In this talk, I will present my work on the design and synthesis of dendrimers incorporating the multi-kinase inhibitors sorafenib and lenvatinib to enhance their selectivity and efficacy against prostate cancer. These dendrimer conjugates aim to improve drug solubility, stability, and tumor-specific accumulation while reducing systemic toxicity associated with the free drugs. Building upon this platform, I have also developed a novel glucose-based dendrimer, leveraging the elevated glucose uptake characteristic of prostate cancer cells, to explore its potential for selective targeting and cytotoxicity. Ongoing studies focus on evaluating the structure–activity relationship and in vitro anticancer efficacy of these dendrimers in prostate cancer cell models. Together, these findings highlight the potential of rationally engineered dendrimers as next-generation therapeutic platforms for prostate cancer management.
