Presented by: Richard James, Professor of Higher Education, University of Melbourne

Richard James is a Professor of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne, where he was formerly the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and the Director of the Centre for Study of Higher Education. He has had wide-ranging research interests in higher education that focus on the quality of the student experience of higher education. His research program spans access and equity, the transition to university, student finances, student engagement, quality assurance and academic standards.
