About the event

ASWSU Global is thrilled to be partnering with WSU Pullman’s Chicanx Latinx Student Center (CLSC) and Global Connections to present The Untold Stories: Using Art as a Tool for Revolution and Healing. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, we will be hosting muralist Jose “Nuke” Montalvo, who will lead a presentation and workshop demonstrating art as a tool for social revolution, change, and healing.

“Nuke is a multi-talented and imaginative artist who seamlessly blends the worlds of graffiti, muralism, and design. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of traditional art forms, Nuke’s work is a stunning fusion of vibrant colors, bold lines, and dreamlike themes that truly captivate the viewer. Whether through large-scale murals or smaller, intricately detailed pieces, Nuke’s unique vision and unrelenting drive continue to inspire and amaze those who experience it” (nuke.one).

Tune in via Zoom to hear Nuke speak, then join us in applying the presentation concepts to our own art.
