Location and Lodging

CONFERENCE SITE

Washington State University (WSU) is located in Pullman, Washington in the Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST).

CUWiP at WSU will take place in the SPARK Academic Innovation Hub, Webster Hall, Compton Union Building (CUB), Todd Hall, and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Event Center.

Transportation will be provided to and from the hotel each day.  Parking available on campus Saturday and Sunday.  Some walking between buildings will be required on campus.  Keep in mind winter that we typically have snow or chilly weather in January, be sure to dress warm!  If you have any accessibility concerns, contact us to arrange transportation.

Special accommodations and dietary restrictions/preferences will be recorded at the time of registration.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Lodging for all conference participants will be at either:

Both hotels are located about 1.2 miles from the main conference venue.   It is a 25-30 minute walk to our campus venue or a short drive. Parking will be available Saturday and Sunday on campus at no charge.  Bus transportation will be provided from hotel to the venue and return trip each day.

Rooms will be provided for attendees for the nights of January 17 and 18 only.  Please do not make your own hotel reservations without consulting us first.

Participants will be accommodated in shared double rooms, with two separate beds. Roommates will be randomly assigned.  Special requests regarding housing can be made at the time or registration or by emailing us.

Upon arrival: Please have your photo ID available to check in at the front desk. No additional purchases may be charged to the room; a personal credit card must be used for any additional purchases.  Airport transportation can be arranged for those that need it; if flying into Pullman-Moscow regional airport there is a free hotel shuttle – please contact us after registration if you need additional information.

During the conference: A continental breakfast will be provided at the Residence Inn for all participants, if staying at the Courtyard please walk to the Residence Inn for breakfast.

Parking is included at the hotels, and free parking on campus Saturday and Sunday (Friday is pay for parking only).  A bus service will be provided to and from the hotels according to the program.  Some walking will be required on campus between buildings.  If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us to arrange transportation.

On Sunday: Please ensure that you check out of your room in the morning before coming to the first scheduled conference event. Bags then may be stored at the conference where a local organizing committee member will be stationed all day.
