Location and Lodging

CONFERENCE SITE

Washington State University (WSU) is located in Pullman, Washington in the Pacific Standard Time Zone (PST).

CU*iP at WSU will take place in the SPARK Academic Innovation Hub, Webster Hall, Compton Union Building (CUB), and Ensminger Pavilion.

Students are strongly recommended to take the shuttle service available at the Residence Inn to get to the campus. Parking is available on campus Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday; more information about campus parking can be found here.  Some walking between buildings will be required on campus.  Keep in mind that we typically have snow or chilly weather in January, be sure to dress warm!  If you have any accessibility concerns, contact us to arrange transportation.

Special accommodations and dietary restrictions/preferences will be recorded at the time of registration.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Lodging for all conference participants will be at:

Residence Inn is located about 1.2 miles from the main conference venue.   It is a 25-30 minute walk to our campus venue or a short drive. Parking will be available Saturday and Sunday on campus at no charge.

Rooms will be provided for attendees for the nights of January 24 and 25 only.  Please do not make your own hotel reservations without consulting us first.

Participants will be accommodated in shared double rooms, with two separate beds. Roommates will be randomly assigned.  Special requests regarding housing can be made at the time or registration or by emailing us.

Upon arrival: Please have your photo ID available to check in at the front desk. No additional purchases may be charged to the room; a personal credit card must be used for any additional purchases.  Airport transportation can be arranged for those that need it; if flying into Pullman-Moscow regional airport there is a free hotel shuttle – please contact us after registration if you need additional information.

During the conference: A continental breakfast will be provided at the Residence Inn for all participants.

Parking is included at the hotels, and there is free parking available on campus Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday. Please refer to the parking map here for more information. If you have accessibility concerns, please contact us to arrange transportation.

On Sunday: Please ensure that you check out of your room in the morning before coming to the first scheduled conference event. Bags then may be stored at the conference where a local organizing committee member will be stationed all day.
